Stew Seasoned Elk Roast
2-3 lb elk roast 1 package stew seasoning mix
2 ribs celery, chopped 2 medium carrots, chopped
1 small onion, chopped 1 bay leaf, crumbled
Rinse roast under cool water and place in slow cooker. Blend together 3-1/2 cubs water with seasoning mix and pour over roast. Add vegetables around the edge and top with the bay leaf. Cook on medium heat in slow cooker for 6-7 hours. In a dutch oven, cook over medium heat for 4-5 hours. (Add water if necessary.)
