BBQ Elk Patties
1 lb ground elk meat ¼ cup minced onion
¼ tsp each: dill seed, garlic salt & oregano
¼ cup BBQ sauce or steak sauce 1/8 cup fine chopped green pepper
slices Mozzarella or Cheddar cheese
Combine meat and all ingredients except cheese and mix thoroughly. Heat 2 tbsp oil in skillet. Form 4 patties in skillet and cook patties on each side. After turning, top with cheese, cover and melt.
To use the recipe for meatloaf, bake at 350degrees for 20-30 minutes. Top with cheese and melt. Salt and pepper to taste.
